Pretty cool. I just got word that a campaign that I digitally orchestrated for a Spanish sparking wine brand was featured in the October issue of Wine Enthusiast.

Over the summer I worked with the Sawtooth Group and Sentient Interactive to produce a 5 city wine tasting tour out of a food truck. Logistically, the ground work was a nightmare, luckily people at the Sawtooth Group do this kind of non-traditional event planning all the time, so I was able to focus on getting the real-time “tweeting”, online PR and associated photo contest off the ground.

Having the chance to inject digital solutions that connected the online elements with the offline events was a blast. For example, instead of having a photographer on site as the truck popped up at locations throughout the North East, we armed the brand ambassadors with branded iPads and an app that allowed them to take photos of participants, gather email addresses and post them to the web (with geo-tags) in real time.

The campaign was very successful – with tweets, emails and Facebook messages pouring in from around the world – all requesting that the “Cava Truck” make a stop in their city. Some lucky Americans may get what they asked for…we’re planning a multi-city tour for this fall.
